How Resetting The Clock Can Affect Your Health
Human being’s health is affected differently when resetting of the clock is done especially when it comes in setting the clock one hour ahead so their body will have a difficult time in adjusting to the change of time hence affecting their health.
Mondays are the days that do have increased risk of people having heart attacks this is because of the stress that they do have of starting a new work week in tandem with the change of sleep-wake cycle after the weekend so their heart do have a hard time to adjust to the change of time. Workers who do construction jobs or manufacturing jobs do experience a higher incidence of workplace injuries because after the daylight saving time begins they do arrive at work fourth minutes less sleep and this makes them injure themselves most of the time because of lack of right sleep that they are used to.
Resetting the clock causes reduction in efficiency of sleep to people meaning that when the clock time is changed they will not be able to sleep well as they will not have enough time to sleep and the decrease in sleep by a mere one hour cut a person’s sleep efficiency by 10% so this makes it hard for a person to get enough sleep that they might be needing. Resetting the clock do increase suicide risk especially to those people who are mentally ill and this usually happen weeks following daylight saving times and it usually popular among males who have bipolar disorder.
People who are sick and are supposed to be taking their medications at a given time should be really keen at look at the time because they might end up taking the medicine at a wrong time as it is not supposed to and people who should really look at the time all the time before taking their medications are the people who are diabetic because if they take their medications at the wrong time it will interfere with their sugar level. As Human, we are controlled by our natural circadian rhythms and the rhythms are not supposed to be interested because when it is interrupted by anything like resetting of the clock it does make us have a cluster headache.
Resetting the clock does make the accidents of the cars be at a higher percentage this is because when the time is changed people will have a change in their sleeping the of which their body will take a lot of time before it gets used to the new sleeping time making people to even sleep when they are driving and the act of sleeping ends up to an accident. Inability to adjust to new time is another effect of resetting of the clock which means that our body might sometimes fail to adjust to the new time making as to feel tired all the time.
